While on his way to do some groceries Adriaan (Aad van Toor) spots his old adversaries The Baron (Paul van Gorcum), Vlugge Japie (Bas van Toor) and B2 (Joop Dikmans) in a car driving behind him. They just escaped from prison. While chasing them Adriaan is erroneously apprehended by the police. Later on the three crooks steal a priceless crown from the local museum and plan to ask a reward money for it. But The Baron also has a scheme to put Bassie and Adriaan in bad daylight.
