Brand is a spectacularly nondescript champion for a character who is literally made of fire. Devoid of any comprehensible personality, motivation or mission, and saddled with a simplistic and anachronistic character design, what can actually be done to bring the Burning Vengeance more up to date as an interesting thematic exploration of the idea of being literally possessed by fire?
