The judge declares David's sentence and finds him guilty of Elisa's death. Davi is sentenced to a 20-year prison term. Matias gets lost among the carnival revelers remembering Elisa's death. Violeta is devastated to see Matias being taken to a sanatorium. Heloísa arrives at the hotel where Eugênio, Úrsula and Joaquim are staying and asks if he still wants to buy the lands that belonged to his father.
