Hakuro and Kaede decide to ask Akito’s uncle, Makio, if he knows anything about Akito’s disappearance. But when they arrive at the scheduled meeting place, they find Makio lying on the ground, seriously injured from a fall. Kaede believes he must have been pushed and immediately sets off to find the culprit. But Hakuro finds her calmness and composure odd, and he begins to suspect that she is not really Akito’s wife.
