After the verdict is announced, Polkowska does not give up. She follows Piotr because she is convinced that it is only a matter of time before he commits another crime. On the way to Warsaw, Wolnicki picks up a hitchhiker. During the conversation, the girl recognizes him as the hero of a famous trial... Agnieszka cannot come to terms with the court's verdict. An additional blow for her is the departure of Jola, who after her testimony at the trial faces a wave of hate. Tormented by a sense of failure and devastated by her daughter's decision, Polkowska will reach for a glass for the first time in several years.
