The story follows Caliph Chasid of Baghdad and his Grand Vizier Mansor, who acquire a magical powder that allows them to transform into any animal by saying the word "Mutabor." However, they must not laugh while in animal form, or they will forget the magic word and be unable to return to their human forms. Out of curiosity, they transform into storks and enjoy their new forms until they laugh at their own attempts to speak as storks. This causes them to forget the magic word. They embark on an adventure to reclaim their human forms, encountering various challenges along the way. Eventually, they discover a way to break the spell and return to their original forms, learning valuable lessons about curiosity and caution.
