While Simon Tambarini, 15, drives a scooter at night, a car hits him head on. Four years later, his brother Vincent and his parents Cathy and Pierre lay flowers at the foot of the tree against which he was thrown. They are late for the wedding of Sandra, the daughter of Claire Pavane, a renowned restaurateur in the region. When we haven't waited for years, Alice, the bride's sister, bursts into the wedding. Sandra and their father Guy are overjoyed, Claire closes completely, while Vincent's fiancée, Camille, is on the defensive; Alice is the latter's first love. The mood is happy at the party, until William searches for the one he has just married. Alice was the first to find it, her body lying at the bottom of a cliff. Rescue and police mingle with the guests, Vincent puts on a 'police' armband on the sleeve of his suit: it is he who will be in charge of the investigation, assisted by Benjamin.
