A puppeteer is murdered in the theater where he is performing. There is not the slightest clue that could help Marc, Nikki and Rex carry out their investigation, and that could allow them to discover who wanted to make this sensitive man disappear... Soon after, another murder occurs, and the circumstances surrounding this murder remain just as mysterious... On the other hand, the two victims had one thing in common: the same lawyer, Mr. Beck... Both had encountered problems after committing the same crimes. Michael Kaipl, Beck's assistant, was actively involved in these matters, and not just during his working hours.
