We review A Nightmare on Elm Street as a part of our review of the entire Nightmare Series! Well, every film featuring Freddy Krueger. That is the 2010 sham of a remake by Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes. Okay, is it really that atrocious? Find out if you don't know and share in our dread if you already do know! "A Nightmare on Elm Street" is Directed by Samuel Bayer who had directed nothing other than mostly music videos and docs. It stars Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger, Rooney Mara and Kyle Gallner. Here is the IMDB plotline for this horror remake: A re-imagining of the horror icon Freddy Krueger, a serial-killer who wields a glove with four blades embedded in the fingers and kills people in their dreams, resulting in their real death in reality.
