If you think thrashing your hearing is uber cool. I use the UNI-T meter to test how loud these tools are. Craftsman Shop Vac: sorta loud at 93dB. Milwaukee Dry Cut Metal Saw: loud 104dB. Dewalt cordless impact gun: loud 111dB. Campbell Hausfield Air Compressor: relatively quiet but irritating none the less 86dB. Snap-On Air Impact Wrench: loud as frig at 116dB. IR Air Die Grinder: loud at 112dB. Air hammer: painful at an astounding 121dB. For the wood elves in the crowd: air framing nailer 107dB, roofing nailer 98dB, and Makita circular saw a very loud 114dB.
