A brief explanation of digital multimeters (DMM). You get what you pay for. What to look for in a meter for troubleshooting cars, trucks, hydraulics, AC, DC, motors, electronics. For $150 the Fluke 117 or 113 are solid multimeters that'll last you *decades*. Best of all, they won't screw you up with random auto-ranging and obscure nonsensical displays. You need to be a genius on Adderall to troubleshoot with a "value priced" meter. Give your brain a hug and throw out those crappy meters lying in the bottom of your toolbox.
