An irresponsible young man, Vincent Mason, goes for a joyride in his father's car, and causes a lot of trouble for the Homicide detectives. An only child of wealthy parents, Mason has a charm all of his own, has never wanted for anything and finds it difficult to comprehend the hardships experienced by those not so fortunate. His parents want him desperately to get on in life and cannot understand why he does things he knows will upset them.
