The body of Gloria Severini is found on the floor of her living room by the cleaning lady. When Valeria arrives at the crime scene the victim's 20 year-old son can't be found. But is he really guilty? Valeria conducts the investigation, but can't stop thinking about her mother, whom she has finally decided to ask, once and for all, the truth of why she killed her father. Lucia, put on the spot, tells her that her husband wanted to leave her, but she tells Giulio that she has once again lied to her daughter in order to protect her.
