The boss announces to his team that he's hired Jordan, the journalist from another paper, as the new editor in chief of "Punch!". The employees are disappointed, as each and every one of them was sure that they would be promoted to the job- the boss had promised! When Jordan arrives on the scene, he's immediately smitten by Connie, the receptionist- it's love at first sight! Jordan finds his relationships with the other colleagues strained, and a talk with the boss, Mr. Roberts, puts his future at "Punch!" in peril.
