Moving through the US, Dom and Pete try to unravel and understand the contradictions of a nation, proud of its civil liberties, where 16 year-olds can drive, 18 year-olds can buy firearms but only those over 21, the highest minimum age in the world, can drink alcohol. During the first documentary the pair explored Miami drinking styles, then met up with some hillbillies in the Appalachians tasting moonshine, and visited a gay cowboy bar in Atlanta before taking on the Christian right in Alabama's dry counties.

Dom and Pete head east to visit Russia, a country that consumes 80% of the world's vodka. The relationship with vodka is well documented, highlighted earlier this year by the nation’s outcry at the sudden shortages of their favourite spirit, sparking fears of riots when production came to a standstill. Joly hilariously visited Russia, trying 80% proof homemade vodka known as Samogon. He explains "You have an hour where you feel you can take on the world, then you black out. But because it’s almost pure alcohol, no hangover - sadly because I can’t remember it, I don’t know if it’s worth doing."

Sun and sombreros are the order of the day as Dom heads to Mexico, sampling every type of drink he can lay his hands on; from Pulque, to the world famous Tequila.

In Australia Dom gets to grips with the drinking culture down under. He sees a sophisticated side to Aussie drinking in Melbourne before heading off to the Northern Territory, where alcohol consumption is twice as high as the rest of Australia.

Dom crosses the Channel to find out what makes our European neighbours such sophisticated drinkers. He indulges in some 'erotic beer' and takes a swim in a lager-filled spa. Germany, home of the Munich Beer Festival, is a nation of beer lovers and a proud producer of strong beer. During the World Cup hundreds of thousands of people from around the world flooded into the nation without tickets to any games, but intent on soaking up the atmosphere and the alcohol.

In a fitting end to the series and to their journey, Dom and Pete learn the original value of alcohol in India: to bring you closer to the gods.
