After seeing the pearl that Largo has retrieved from the rocks facing the sea, Black Jack heads from the backyard through a cave in the rocks to the cove. Seeing the shining pearl in the cove, Black Jack explains to Pinoko that it belonged to a friend he parted ways with 10 years ago, and begins to talk about what happened back then. 10 years ago, Black Jack treated an injured killer whale that washed up in the cove. As a thank you for the treatment, the killer whale brought the pearl to Black Jack in its mouth. Since then, Black Jack has named the killer whale "Triton," which keeps coming back to the cove after getting injured, and they have grown closer...
