On the night of the summer festival, Yoichi and his friends reunite with Sakai Kazuma and Koorogi, who are running an octopus ball stand. Sugimoto from the Aji Shogun group bursts in with a huge trailer and starts selling octopus balls. Unable to bear the sight, Yoichi challenges Sugimoto to a octopus ball contest in an attempt to scare him away, but this plays into Sugimoto's hands.
