In Flat 8, Alf mentions to Arnold that he is keen to return to his job. He has to make ends meet and he won't be living off his wife's laundrette earnings. Arnold explains to him that, since the spinal injury occurred at Alf's place of work, he should be eligible for Workers' Compensation.
