Juan Cristóbal tells Leonor's husband that he must leave the farm, but he prevents him from doing so and even threatens him with the worst punishment if he dares to escape. María is already fed up with Buenaventura's attitude and when he makes a demand, she threatens him with a knife. Luis Emilio takes Violeta to the farm's barn and talks to her about a possible engagement between the two, generating their happiness. Alberto asks Herminia where Manuel has been all day and she reveals that he is now the boss. The worker goes to the place where his friend extracts the gold and questions the way in which he has become rich. However, he receives a powerful response back.
