José Luis falls into the trap set by Herminia and suffers the painful sting of a scorpion. But this will not be the only challenge that the owner of the Querencia must face. That same day, María sets fire to a warehouse full of corn as revenge for the irreparable damage caused to Violeta. This last blow leaves José Luis on the verge of an economic crisis, forcing him to resort to Lucrecia's money to solve his problems. After the devastating fire and the million-dollar losses, José Luis asks Leonor to convince Ignacio to use part of Lucrecia's fortune. Leonor accepts the task, but when looking for her eldest son, she surprises him kissing Mercedes, thus revealing her deepest secret.
