Walczak and Wichura investigate the circumstances of the young woman's death. Marta Zawadzka attended a party to celebrate her boyfriend's birthday, but she quarreled with him and left. She was found dead in the yard. The detectives try to find out something about the girl and find her mother. She is surprised and declares that Marta is indeed dead - but she died six months ago by suicide. Walczak and Wichura must discover the true identity of the killed girl. Bolek Kowalski does not show up at work for another day and Kuba Walczak begins to seriously worry about his friend's absence. It seems that Kowalski hasn't been to his own apartment for a long time.
