Lagoons, palm-lined beaches and mangrove belts: Ghana impresses with its largely untouched Atlantic coast. A third of the country's inhabitants live in the maritime provinces, one in ten from fishing. The village of Nzulezo in the far west of the country stands on stilts in the water. 105 children go to primary school here, but there is a lack of teachers with “sea legs”.
