When a female fashion designer, played by guest star Diana Lynn, reports the loss of her exclusive fall line in a fire. The Investigators get an anonymous tip which touches off an inquiry into the activities of the couturiere. The fashion world, backstage, is investigated in this sequence. Designer Manon Ouchet, played by guest star Diana Lynn, reports that her fall line has been destroyed by fire, but Andrews has his doubts about her story, especially after an anonymous phone call and the disappearance of a model who said she had vital information.
