The rural police of Lusagne, faithful to the traditions of hospitality of the mountains, are preparing to welcome the team of the Totem association. This association, which specialises in the refurbishment of old buildings in the rural world, calls on prisoners at the end of their sentences, and has the mission of preparing them for their reintegration. At the end of the first day, two members of the team were missing; very quickly, Alex Hugo follows the trail of the fugitives, and finds the lifeless body of one of them, in a torrent, his skull shattered; the second, on the other hand, who had just served a heavy sentence, remains nowhere to be found...
