Ramsés provokes Columba's jealousy by assuring her that Gael has a particular interest in Leona, and assures her that it would be terrible if her title as wife were taken away. Leona, upon meeting David, asks him to confess the truth, since Jeremías assured her that he knows where her son is. Upon learning of her fiancé's disappointment, she slaps him hard.
