Ibuki and Shima rush to investigate a report of a body found in a cargo container rented out for storage. They arrive on the scene to discover the dead man, a peaceful expression on his face, covered in a mound of cat litter. All indications point to suicide, but Ibuki and Shima, suspecting foul play, begin questioning the users of the other storage containers. One of them, an old man living illegally in his container, tells them a surprising fact about the dead man.
