Mike attends court for the first day of the custody battle, but finds himself becoming an unlikely ally for Stella when the pressure of the situation begins to take its toll on Richie. Freddie panics when he learns that he is to be promoted to supervisor. Christine is forced to confront Andrew after a young mother makes a complaint about him.
