Rita is upset when Glenn Pritchard treats her like a mother. Emily agrees to withdraw her notice from the factory after lecturing Mike on his business practices. Gail advises Kevin to think seriously about his future. Mavis and Norris Birchall enjoy a day sightseeing in a pony and trap before, to their regret, they part company.
