The whole city trembles in fear of a psychopathic killer of young women. His crimes show the features of a crazy ritual from which the psychologist paints a profile of the perpetrator to the police. Commissioner Moser and Rex immediately follow his trail. As always, Rex is a faithful helper, but the fatal carelessness is committed by his master. A Viennese crime squad pays a high price for uncovering a maniac.
