Since Prof. Presbury, an esteemed professor of a prestigious English university, has returned from Prague with a mysterious and inseparable wooden box, he has undergone a real behavioral metamorphosis. His attitude towards the people around him has completely changed, and the change is so deep as to bring his faithful watchdog to attack his master himself and, even more seriously, he seems to have been seen crawling, just from his particular secretary, Mr. Bennett. Needless to hide that, once again, for the intelligent Holmes will be a breeze to discover the truth. The mysterious wooden box contains a drug, to be exact a filter, that the poor professor had decided to hire to rejuvenate and to "keep up" with his young girlfriend Alice Morphy.
