SuperBrawl VI took place on February 11, 1996 from the Bayfront Arena in St. Petersburg, Florida. This event marked Brian Pillman's final match in WCW; in his "I Respect You" Strap Match against The Taskmaster, Pillman shouted "I respect you, bookerman!," breaking kayfabe, before leaving the ring.

Uncensored 1996 took place on March 24, 1996 from the Tupelo Coliseum in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Slamboree 1996 took place on May 19, 1996 from the Riverside Centroplex in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Every non-title match was a Lethal Lottery match with wrestlers being randomly paired together, and the winning teams would advance to the Battlebowl battle royal.

The Great American Bash (1996) took place on June 16, 1996 at the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.

Bash at the Beach (1996) was the third annual Bash at the Beach professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW). It took place on July 7, 1996 from the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida.[1] This event is best remembered for Hulk Hogan's heel turn and the formation of the New World Order, which contributed greatly to the success of WCW in the mid-to-late 1990s.[2] The main event was a tag team match between The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) and their mystery partner (Hulk Hogan), and Randy Savage, Sting and Lex Luger. Matches on the undercard included Ric Flair against Konnan for the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship, and Dean Malenko against Disco Inferno for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship.

Hog Wild took place on August 10, 1996 from the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota.[3] The VHS cover featured Hulk Hogan in his Hulkster pose despite the fact that he, along with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, formed the nWo one month prior and began being billed as Hollywood. The first eight matches aired on WCW Saturday Night on TBS. This event happened on a Saturday, instead of the normal Sunday night.

Fall Brawl 1996: War Games took place on September 15, 1996 from the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Halloween Havoc 1996 took place on October 27, 1996 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

World War 3 1996 took place on November 24, 1996 from the Norfolk Scope in Norfolk, Virginia.

Starrcade (1996) was the fourteenth annual Starrcade professional wrestling pay-per-view event. It was the ninth Starrcade event produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and it took place on December 29, 1996 from the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. The event featured the New World Order (nWo) stable, which formed in July. The main event was between Hollywood Hogan and Roddy Piper. Piper debuted to WCW earlier in the year to oppose the nWo, and challenge Hogan to determine who the bigger icon was.[2] Other matches featured Lex Luger and The Giant, Diamond Dallas Page and Eddie Guerrero for the vacant WCW United States Heavyweight Championship, The Outsiders and the Faces of Fear for the WCW World Tag Team Championship, and Ultimo Dragon and Dean Malenko to unify the J-Crown Championship and the WCW Cruiserweight Championship
