Parvati blesses Kartikey to defeat Tarakasur and become a great warrior. Lord Vishnu announces to appoint Kartikey as the Senapati. Lord Vishnu, Brahma and Mahadev enlighten Kartikey about the duties of a Senapati and bless him. The deities felicitate Kartikey and gift him with weapons. Tarakasur's father becomes furious on learning about Kartikey's attack. Kartikey vows to fight against Tarakasur. Lord Vishnu gifts Kartikey with a peacock.
