The start of the 22nd season of Pékin Express takes place in a peaceful and majestic Nepal—a small country perched on the roof of the world, largely covered by mountains and dominated by the legendary Mount Everest. From the very beginning of the first stage, barely after arriving, the contestants are immediately thrown into the adventure, heading toward the foothills of the Himalayas. A bivouac in the heart of nature and a flying start: the return to a tougher, more demanding adventure is instant. Encounters with the Nepalese people will leave a deep impression on the teams. In this country steeped in Buddhist spirituality, where monasteries shape daily life and time sometimes seems to stand still, the contestants will discover a population of remarkable kindness and generosity, where helping others and welcoming strangers are essential values.
