When Neal Wheaton, a deputy sheriff, shoots a man, Clay Hollister believes he was too quick to use his gun and fires him. Weaton then gets a job as a guard in a saloon in town and soon gains a reputation as a fast gun. Hollister decides Weaton must leave Tombstone to avoid further killing.
