Kim is released from prison after Shane reveals that Teddy is actually her son Andrew, whom Barbara had kidnapped years ago. Barbara died in an accident while trying to flee after killing Emma. At court, the judge overturns Kim's guilty verdict based on Abe's testimony about Barbara's deathbed confession. Kim is freed and reunites with Shane, planning to see Andrew.
However, Paul refuses to give up the baby and takes Andrew home from the hospital, despite Victor's demands. Mike consoles Paul about losing Barbara and discusses marrying Robin soon, feeling life is too short to wait.
Steve and Kayla celebrate the good news with a lobster dinner at her place. Though Kayla is squeamish about eating the live lobster, they grow closer by the fire. When Chris calls with confirmation that Kim is free, they turn off the phone and make love on the rug.
Meanwhile, Adrienne is followed to her apartment by Duke, who corners her despite her attempts to escape, claiming he wouldn't hurt her.
