As the hours pass, efforts to free a Lithuanian rafter trapped in rapids in Tasmania’s Franklin River fail. The only option left is to amputate, but rescue crews encounter critical equipment failure, in the lead up to the underwater operation. Everyone agrees that amputation is the only option, but that doesn’t guarantee his survival. When Valdas is finally freed from the river, that’s when the drama begins.
