Agriculture: How our food destroys nature (7x3)

Food security and environmental protection are always in conflict. However, we have to feed the population and at the same time safeguard our biological basis of life. A large proportion of our native animal and plant species are threatened with extinction and the situation is getting worse. Agricultural policy has no answer to this, nor does it help agriculture to take more sustainable paths. Science says that we must not play agriculture and nature conservation off against each other. So what do we need to do for biodiversity and food security?
