At the SPD's national party conference, the influence of Kevin Kühnert and his Young Socialists has become clear. Together with the left wing of the party, they push through the phasing out of Hartz IV, a milestone for which Kühnert had worked for a long time. He is also elected deputy party chairman. He has brought his duo to the top of the SPD, finally has his own office, is no longer just the Juso leader, but has arrived at the party's power center. And then comes the corona pandemic.
