After Kai seeing a sickly Raphael being tested against anti-psychic weaponry, Ghibelline requests Kai to stay at the cathedral in order to use his psychic powers to find the Sacrament of Calvaria. Kai encounters Maxim, who attacks him mercilessly. At the same time, Hikaru collapses in Eiji's presence, due to the psychic energy felt through Kai.
