The husband of Élise Berthier, the first black woman to run a rum in Martinique, has been murdered. He was driving his wife's company car. The vehicle's security system was obviously sabotaged. Everything suggests that Élise Berthier was targeted, especially since many members of the La Rosière rum distillery's management committee did not accept her appointment as its head.
