A young policewoman mysteriously dies while walking through a factory at night. At first it looks like the perpetrator was caught by surprise during a break-in. However, the crime quickly turns out to be a perfectly planned act, which was targeted personally against the young officer. In her attempt to unmask the perpetrator, Winnie Heller gets into the line of fire of some colleagues and puts her life in danger. The investigation leads Commissioner Winnie Heller in Wiesbaden amidst a conspicuous network of personal tensions and obvious misconduct among the police officers. For Winnie Heller and Hendrik Verhoeven, this suggests that the murderer must be someone from their own ranks.
