A Melbourne lawyer goes missing in the bush near Matlock; Sen. Const. Hogan receives news of his transfer to Emerald; and the police station is plagued by astounding bad luck with the arrival of the Aboriginal 'Bangerang Prince'. Notes: Sen. Const. Hogan is transferred to Emerald, as featured in the spin-off series Solo One. This is the only episode where VKC radio operator Shirl is seen.
