The alarm is raised by a passer by when a pensioner falls into icy water off his sailing boat off the coast of Helensburgh, Argyll and Bute. The Hastings RNLI arecalled out into action following reports that the town's pier is on fire. The Brighton lifeboat team attempt to rescue a couple of shipwrecked friends.
