In rural Loxton, South Africa, Lemmer (James Gracie) reluctantly embarks on a shadowy smuggling operation. Meanwhile, Cape Town's Presidential Bureau of Intelligence launches a high-stakes, covert investigation into a terrorist plot after a police informant blows the whistle on a meeting between local Islamic extremists and Suleiman Daoud (Emmanuel Castis), a senior Al Qaeda operative. As PBI chief Janina Mentz (Sandi Schultz) carefully directs the sting, special agent Quinn (Thapelo Mokoena) is eager to make an arrest - and Milla (Rolanda Marais), a housewife who's escaped an abusive suburban existence, lands a job as a researcher on the team.

Undercover informant Ishmael is shot trying to escape a suspected terror group. The Presidential Bureau of Intelligence agency suspects big plans in motion involving the Stadium. Milla tries to reconnect with her son Barend. Lemmer is flown into the bush and is collected up by a truck. At the border they pickup two rhino and Flea their handler. On the return they escape a gang looking for diamonds. Flea later disappears with the diamonds.

After shooting Nkunzi, Lemmer steals a car and is pursued by the PBI. Having slept with Becker, Milla is in trouble when he comes to the attention of the PBI. When confronted Becker tells her of the hijacking but denies killing Nkunzi. Shaid continues to try and pull all the loose ends together. Janina suspects a mole in the PBI. Flea surprises Lemmer.

Still trying to prove CiA covert ops on SA soil, Milla is arrested and interrogated by Janina Mentz. Shahid is in hospital and Daoud is told about the missing laptop. Flea gets Lemmer to help with the diamond drop. Milla realises Becker is CIA. When Becker activates Shahids laptop it gives Daoud their position and an ambush ensues. The diamond drop goes wrong and there is a shootout as Daoud tries to get the plan back on track. The head of PBI suspends Janina and she meets with Lemmer.
