Mahadev consoles Ashok Sundari, and enlightens her about Nahush's karma. He asks her to take care of Nahush. Nahush boasts of his power. Maharani worries about the disorder in the kingdom. The priests plot to attack Shambhu and the Maharaja, with an intention of ruling over the kingdom. They intend to support the enemies of the Maharaja. The Maharaja wants to take care of the leprosy patients in the ashram. On Shambhu's motivation, he and his citizens vow to fight against their enemies, to protect the kingdom.
