Mahadev and Parvati bless Janaka and Sita. Mahadev asks Parshuram to hand over the responsibility of his bow to Janaka. He enlightens Janaka about the bow and informs him that Sita will be capable of lifting it. Rishi Vashistha suggests Dasharatha to send his children to the gurukul, for their education. Mahadev blesses Mandodari and Anjani with boons, to give birth to brave sons. Mandodari tries to stop Ravana from capturing the nine planets, but in vain.
