Pilar begins questioning Doménica about Max Langer, leading her to deduce that Doménica still harbors feelings for him. Luis Fernando saves Max Langer's life after he is shot by Genaro, who soon discovers he is alive. Doménica visits Max after learning he is seriously injured, but he deliriously thinks of Kiara. Genaro discovers Kiara's plans with Max, questions her, and finds out she is helping Max win Doménica back, which makes him extremely jealous and leads him to threaten her.
