Meanwhile, Carrie sneaks out to the prom with Derek, fantasizing about Frankie the whole time. When Derek becomes too aggressive, Frankie rescues her and fights him off. Carrie flees back to the fish market, where Frankie helps her hide from Shawn and covers for her. In Colorado, Justin and Adrienne arrive at the plane crash site searching for Steve and Kayla. Justin discovers Steve's harmonica, giving them hope he survived. Steve and Kayla, meanwhile, are hiding from police in a heart-themed hotel room. While attempting to make love, gunshots suddenly fire through their window as someone pursues them.
