The family's fortunes look up once more when Micawber gets a job as butler to an eccentric aristocratic couple. However, it soon becomes clear her ladyship has taken quite a shine to her new manservant, and for a while he is flattered by her attentions - until he realises his lordship has a tendency to gun down in cold blood anyone dallying with his wife.
