Walczak and Wichura are tasked with finding an eight-year-old girl. The child's father claims that there was a kidnapping committed by his ex-wife and her partner. The girl's mother did not come to terms with the loss of parental rights and therefore would take revenge on her husband. When investigators reach the woman, she seems unconcerned about her daughter's fate. At the same time, she points out that her ex-husband was a troublemaker and had recently threatened her. Investigators don't know who to trust. Especially since the missing girl's guardian soon joins the group of suspects.
